Every machine in this book earned its spot.

Some fought speed wars that dragged the whole industry forward. Others were built on ideas so strange they had no business working, and then they worked anyway. A few are sitting in a garage down your street right now, hidden in plain sight, waiting on somebody who knows what they're looking at.

You'll know some of these bikes. Most of them you won't. And the ones you do know have stories you haven't heard.

Sean Kerr went through the entire world of motorcycles, picked the hundred worth putting on a page, and then did the part he's actually good at: telling you why they matter.

This is not a museum catalog. It is not another boring book about bikes. It's the guy who has ridden everything grabbing you by the arm because you have to hear this one.

There's a reason it isn't called A Motorcycle Book.

This is THE Motorcycle Book.

How Entries With Your Purchase Work

Official rules

1

Pre-order an edition

Each edition of The Motorcycle Book earns different amounts of entries. Multiple orders will give you more entries, and all entries are tracked automatically.

2

Your entries go in for every bike

One pre-order puts you in for every motorcycle in the draw. You do not enter separately for each one.

3

Selling more books puts more bikes in

The Fat Boy is in no matter what. The Roadliner joins at 5,000 books sold, and The Monkey joins at 7,500 books sold. Nothing closes early, so an order placed on the last day of the entry period counts the same as one placed today. Entries close November 30th, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT.

4

Entries End November 30th, Winner(s) Selected December 8th

Entries close November 30th, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT. Every bike that is unlocked by then will be given away on December 8th, 2026. The winners will be randomly selected, and then notified via email.

5

Your book turns up on 24 November 2026

This is a pre-order, so the book is still on press. Copies ship 24 November 2026 whether or not a bike ends up in your garage.

The Leather
Edition

Real leather. Not faux, not bonded, not printed to look like it.

Real full grain leather over board, cut from actual hide, with a red stitched spine and a number on the inside cover. It will scuff and darken with handling because that is what leather does. When these are gone there is no second run, because we only bought that many hides worth.

Material
Genuine full grain leather over board, red stitched spine
Numbering
foil, inside cover
Signature
Signed and numbered on the title page

Common Questions

Do I have to buy anything to enter?

No purchase is necessary. Eligibility and all methods of entry are set out in the official rules linked below. Pre-ordering a book earns the entry counts printed next to each edition.

How are the winners actually picked?

Every entry gets a number. A certified randomizer picks one winner per bike on December 8th, 2026.

When exactly are the bikes drawn?

Entries close November 30th, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT, and every bike is drawn on December 8th, 2026 in one sitting. Nothing is given away before then, so there is no draw you can miss by ordering later in the run.

Does one pre-order enter me for every bike?

Yes. Your entries go in for every motorcycle in the draw, not one bike each. The only thing that changes how many bikes are up for grabs is how many books sell before entries close on November 30th, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT.

What decides whether the second and third bikes happen?

Book sales, and nothing else. The Fat Boy is guaranteed. The Roadliner is added at 5,000 books sold, and The Monkey is added at 7,500 books sold. If a threshold is not reached by the time entries close on November 30th, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT, that bike is not awarded.

Are those the actual bikes in the photos?

The photographs marked as illustrations are stock shots of the model, not the individual machine you would win. The make and model are exactly what is listed. Colour, year and trim on the actual prize can differ, and the official rules carry the prize description that governs.

Who can enter?

US residents, 18 or older. Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, Michigan, and New York are excluded, as is any state where the giveaway is prohibited or restricted under its own sweepstakes law. The official rules carry the current list.

Is the leather edition actually leather?

Yes. Real hide over board, not bonded leather or vinyl embossed to look the part. Every copy grains a little differently and the cover will darken where you handle it, which is the point of buying leather instead of a picture of it.

When does the book ship?

Every edition is a pre-order. All versions are expected to ship 24 November 2026. You will receive a tracking number via email when your order ships.

Taxes on the bike?

The winner is responsible for tax on the prize value and we will issue you a 1099. Full details can be found in the Official Rules.
